If you’d met her, you’d understand: Cielo is not calm.
She’s a Lagotto Romagnolo — all wild curls, muddy paws, and enthusiasm that knows no bounds. She digs with purpose, bounds with joy, and barrels into life like every moment is an adventure. She is, in every way, alive.
And that’s where our story begins.
From Chaos to Calm
We’re Bianca and Christoph — one of us a creative director and interiors stylist, the other an IT project manager with a love for grounded systems and human-centred design. Between us, we’ve lived fast-paced lives full of ambition, deadlines, and screens.
But over time, like many people in today’s world, we began to crave… space. Not just physical space, but emotional space. Mental stillness. Creative softness. The kind of space where you can just breathe.
A New Vision Begins
We found calm in unexpected places: In the lines of a leaf. In the repetition of waves. In the quiet rhythm of drawing. And from that, a seed of an idea began to grow:
What if colouring could be more than a pastime? What if it could be a ritual? A tool for mindfulness, expression, and emotional wellbeing?
So we blended our skills — design, psychology, storytelling, and aesthetics — to create Calmielo.
Why ‘Calmielo’?
The name is a love letter to Cielo — our dog, our chaos, and oddly enough, our muse. Her name means sky or heaven in Italian. And while she is anything but still, she reminds us what it means to be fully alive.
So Calmielo is a combination of “Calm” and “Cielo.” It’s the balance we all seek: stillness and spirit, roots and wings, pause and play.
What We’re Creating
Calmielo is a series of elegant, nature-inspired colouring books designed for:
– Adults & teens seeking stress relief
– Neurodivergent minds needing clarity, not chaos
– Lovers of design, wellness, and intentional creativity
With grounding linework, mindful prompts, and quiet affirmations, each page is a chance to return to yourself — even if just for a moment.

We believe calm isn’t something you achieve and hold. It’s something you cultivate. And like a garden, it grows with time, attention, and care.
